Dr Ellaway has worked in various areas of general practice, most recently in Canada. She has a special interest in all areas of general practice and has a Diploma in Children’s Health.
As a GP, she most enjoys the interaction with others.


Dr Siang Ding

We are excited to welcome Dr Siang Ding back to Hyde & Partners. After starting in General Practice in 2019, Dr Siang has experience working in a variety of areas, including emergency medicine, rehabilitation medicine, paediatrics and acute care.

His special interests include acne treatment, asthma care, adolescent medicine, anxiety & depression care, diabetes care, family health, men’s health, minor surgical procedures and skin checks.

He most enjoys the day-to-day variety of being a GP and providing education to patients to engage in preventative health and personal care.


Dr Michael Brown

Born in Peru, Dr. Brown graduated from Adelaide University before settling in the Riverland at Berri.

He has worked as a partner at Hyde and Partners since 1995.

His professional interests include obstetrics.

In his spare time, Dr. Brown enjoys music and bad jokes; passions he has combined as the driving force behind the highly successful medical revues staged biannually at STARplex to raise funds for the Gawler Health Service Foundation.

Dr Anthony Page grew up and has lived in various parts all over Australia and elsewhere.

He graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1997 before heading off to the NT.

He has been a Specialist in General Practice since 2003 and holds Fellowships with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and the Royal Australian College of General Practice (RACGP).

He holds an Advanced Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and is a GP Supervisor proudly supporting the growth, development and training of our future GPs.

Dr Page has practiced in many parts of the country including the Northern Territory, Riverland, Far North and Western Queensland and has previously worked with the RFDS (QLD) and Central Australian Medical Health Service (Alice Springs).

He has been at Hyde’s since 2004 and loves Gawler and surrounding districts.

He enjoys all aspects of Generalist medicine including:

  • geriatrics

Outside of medicine Anthony is married with 2 very busy kids (who he tries to keep up with), lots of soccer and other activities (theirs) and enjoys playing with old cars. He is a terrible mechanic. He enjoys bushwalking, squash, music, driving, current affairs, newspapers and politics.


Dr Thomas ‘Toby’ Monks-Corrigan

Toby was born in country Victoria, and following 11 years in the Australian Army undertook graduate medical training at the University of Sydney, graduating in 2017 with an MD. Toby subsequently completed 2 years of hospital training in Canberra, before moving his family to Adelaide. He enjoys all aspects of generalist medicine.

Toby is married to Kalinda and together they have two very active little girls. When not chasing after his kids, Toby enjoys running, reading and following the AFL.


Dr Gigi Terblanche

Dr Terblanche commenced working in general practice in 2006, working in South Africa, Ireland, and Australia since 2014. She has a special interest in a wide range of areas including adolescent medicine, chronic disease management, women’s health, mental health management, pain management and weight management. SHe most enjoys being involved in all aspects of medicine and having a supportive relationship with patients and their families.


Dr Kate Haslam

Dr. Haslam graduated from Flinders University in 1994, where her elective focus was orthopaedics.

She is an exam writer and examiner for the Australian College of General Practitioners and participates widely in GP Registrar education and training.

She has worked as a partner at Hyde and Partners since 2007 and also assists in orthopaedic procedures at the Gawler Health Service.

Her professional interests include diabetes, sexual health and obesity.

In her spare time, Dr. Haslam enjoys hiking, playing hockey, travel and music, and is an accomplished singer.


Dr Anna Neldner

MB,BS. FRACGP, FACRRM, DCH, FARGP | Associate

Dr. Neldner graduated from Adelaide University in 1997, before postgraduate training in Darwin, the Riverland and Cairns.

She has worked as an associate at Hyde and Partners since 2004. She completed anaesthetic training during her time in Cairns.


Dr Kendra Powell

MB, ChB. FRACGP | Partner

Dr. Powell completed her medical degree at Manchester University in the UK, and following this trained in General Practice medicine.

She married her husband David in 1995 and eventually made their home together in Gawler. They have three children who have finished school and moved into higher education.

Dr. Powell has a special interest is women’s health and intrauterine device insertion.

In her spare time, Dr. Powell enjoys travel, food, wine, photography and snow skiing.


Dr Hemant Vanmali

Dr. Vanmali is a graduate from Adelaide University.

He joined Hyde and Partners originally in 2011.

In his spare time, Dr. Vanmali enjoys spending time with his four kids.


Dr Emily Gibson

Dr. Gibson graduated from the University of Sheffield in northern England in 2004, and has worked in the United Kingdom and Hong Kong. She relocated to South Australia in 2012 with her family.

Her professional interests include travel medicine and women’s health.

In her spare time, she enjoys caring for her four small children, eating good food and travelling.


Dr Philippa Harris

Associate

Philippa graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2004. She attained her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2009, having spent some of her training as a registrar at Hyde and Partners. More than 10 years later she and her family moved to live in Gawler, attracted by the connectedness of the local community. Philippa enjoys the privilege of getting to know her patients and strives to provide holistic care. Outside work she keeps herself busy with her 3 kids, being involved in her church community, getting out into nature or finding an opshop bargain.


Dr Lyall Henderson

Dr. Henderson graduated from The University of Adelaide in 2014 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery.  He holds a Specialist Fellowship in General Practice from the RACGP and a Diploma in Skin Cancer Medicine from the University of Queensland.

Dr Henderson has recently returned to Hyde & Partners and is available for appointments on Thursdays.

Dr Michael Switajewski

ENT Specialist

Dr Michael Switajewski is a specialist Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) surgeon who treats a full range of adult and Paediatric ENT problems. He has a special interest in Paediatric ENT, and benign and malignant head and neck disorders.

Dr. Switajewski consults at Hyde & Partners each month on a Wednesday.

Dr Nick Myles

Haematologist

Dr Nick Myles is a general haematologist who treats all areas of benign and malignant haematology. He has a special interest in the evaluation of bleeding disorders and venous thromboembolism, and the management of chronic haematological issues such as CLL, Myeloma and myeloproliferative disease.

Dr Myles consults at Hyde & Partners once a fortnight, commencing 5 November 2020.

Joanne Lewis

Nurse Practitioner

Jo is a nurse practitioner with over 20 years’ experience as a registered nurse. She has a wealth of experience and post graduate qualifications in both acute and primary health care, and significant management and leadership capabilities.

Jo has a passion for learning and personal development, loves working with people to deliver tangible outcomes and has an in depth understanding of Australia’s primary health care system. During her diverse career, she has developed expertise in chronic disease management, cardiac and coronary care, triage, immunisation, wound care and preventative health care.

Jo started her career in the hospital setting, working in a number of roles including coronary care units, infectious diseases wards and intensive care units. She then transitioned to primary health care in 2001 and since then has occupied a number of advanced practice roles. Throughout her career she has obtained post-graduate certificates and diplomas in primary health care, cardiovascular nursing, management, and business, and in 2018 gained endorsement as a nurse practitioner.


Annette Walker

Nurse Practitioner

Annette is a nurse practitioner endorsed by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).  She has over two decades of experience, which has been complemented by her practice and experience working in the USA, New Zealand, Philippines and now Australia.

Annette has a keen interest in general and primary health care with a greater focus on adults and older adults.

Anette works collaboratively with your GP to provide you with better care in managing your health.  She can order, perform, supervise and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests; make diagnoses; initiate and manage treatment, including prescribing medication and non-pharmacologic treatments; coordinate care; counselling; and educate patients, your families and the communities.

Grace was born in China, and has been living in Australia since 2009. She graduated from Flinders University with a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics in 2014.

She believes everyone should enjoy food, while also staying healthy and feeling good.

She can tailor an individualised meal plan to develop sustainable healthy eating habits that fit into your lifestyle.

In her spare time, Grace enjoys cooking, eating good food and travelling, plus delivering healthy eating and cooking programs into the communities.

Alison Qualified in 1990 in the UK as a registered nurse. She worked in the hospital setting gaining experience in both medical and surgical fields before branching out into general practice in 2001 and qualified as a practice nurse that year. In 2003 she gained Post graduate qualifications in Asthma and COPD.

In 2008 she moved to Australia with her family and worked as an asthma educator and as a practice nurse mentor for the Northern Division of General Practice before settling into her role as asthma nurse educator at Hyde and Partners. At that time she also set up the chronic disease management clinic 1 day a week and now works full time care planning with patients who have chronic conditions.

She has recently become a grandmother to a little boy born in Sydney in May and in her spare time loves socialising, camping, 4 wheel driving, cycling and travelling


Fiona Brown

Registered Nurse

Following hospital based training and general nursing worked in the Riverland as a District Nurse before joining Hyde & Partners in 1997 as a clinic nurse.

Fiona has been responsible for Aged Care Assessments for the past 11 years. She enjoys engaging with over 75 year old people in their own homes and enabling them to remain independent.

Fiona is a member of the Gawler Region Aged Care Network and attends regular meetings and workshops to keep up with the changes in My Aged Care.

In her spare time Fiona enjoys her grandchildren, music and gardening.
