CHARTER

The Hyde and Partners Charter describes our purpose and values and how we measure our success. Our Charter is the means by which we communicate who we are, what we do, the values for which we stand as an organisation, and is the basis for our decision-making.

Our mission is to provide to Gawler and the surrounding areas a high-quality holistic independent general medical practice that is universally respected and sought-after in a business-effective model while supporting and developing our staff.

Our strategy is to be the first choice for primary medical care and training in the northern areas of Adelaide and to advocate for the best health outcomes in our community.

Our Values
Quality. We maintain high standards in the treatment, diagnosis and prevention of disease where individual involvement of patient and family are an integral part of the decision making process.

Collegiality
We provide a mutually supportive environment with opportunities for ongoing education and professional interaction.

Ethics
We strive to behave in an ethical manner, demonstrating integrity, honesty, transparency, understanding and compassion.

Community
We serve our community by adding our informed voice to debate on the current and future health needs of Gawler and the closely surrounding district, and continuing to provide accessible care including to those in Residential Care Facilities and the Gawler Health Service.

We are successful when:
our patients value their relationships with us,
our people start each day with a sense of purpose and end the day with a sense of accomplishment, and our operational standards and financial discipline enable our future growth.

UPDATE: There have been PBS changes from 1 June 2020 regarding opioid prescribing. Please book with your regular GP to discuss how these changes will affect you.

Coronavirus Health Alert

As the threat level of COVID-19 is currently low in South Australia, we’re now offering face-to-face appointments. We are watching the situation in Victoria, ACT, and NSW closely.

We continue to observe social distancing and limit the number of patients in our waiting room.

If you have travelled from Victoria, New South Wales or the ACT, you are required to have a COVID-19 test on arrival and again at day 12 of your quarantine. If you would like help arranging this, please schedule a telehealth consult with a GP.

If you have symptoms of the flu, a cold, or loss of sense of smell or taste, please book a telephone consult with a GP first so that an appropriate safe review can be arranged.

For patients with other conditions who would prefer a telephone or video consult, these appointments will continue to be available for eligible patients (please see below).

The Government has now restricted COVID-19 Medicare GP telehealth items to circumstances where a patient has an existing relationship with a general practice (i.e. the patient has visited a GP in the practice face-to-face in the last 12 months), other than for children aged under 12 months or patients who are homeless.

Please be assured that our clinic is COVID-19 safe, and we remain prepared to transition back to telephone triage of all consults should COVID-19 threat levels increase.
