Dr David Cooke

Dr David Cooke is a GP who completed his medical degree at the University of Western Australia, where he spent time practising in both inner city locations and the Kimberley in Northern WA.

He completed part of his registrar training at Hyde and Partners and has since gained experience working in the fields of paediatrics and women’s health. David performs implanon insertions and has an in-depth knowledge of contraceptive counselling. He has completed further professional training in skin cancer medicine and performs skin lesion removals.

He has a particular interest in paediatrics, medical education and minor procedures but welcomes all the challenges that general practice can bring.

When David is not practising medicine, he enjoys camping and rock climbing, spending time with his family, and endlessly chasing around his toddler.

Dr Gigi Terblanche

Dr Terblanche commenced working in general practice in 2006, working in South Africa, Ireland, and Australia since 2014. She has a special interest in a wide range of areas including adolescent medicine, chronic disease management, women’s health, mental health management, pain management and weight management. SHe most enjoys being involved in all aspects of medicine and having a supportive relationship with patients and their families.

Joanne Lewis

Nurse Practitioner

Jo is a nurse practitioner with over 20 years’ experience as a registered nurse. She has a wealth of experience and post graduate qualifications in both acute and primary health care, and significant management and leadership capabilities.

Jo has a passion for learning and personal development, loves working with people to deliver tangible outcomes and has an in depth understanding of Australia’s primary health care system. During her diverse career, she has developed expertise in chronic disease management, cardiac and coronary care, triage, immunisation, wound care and preventative health care.

Jo started her career in the hospital setting, working in a number of roles including coronary care units, infectious diseases wards and intensive care units. She then transitioned to primary health care in 2001 and since then has occupied a number of advanced practice roles. Throughout her career she has obtained post-graduate certificates and diplomas in primary health care, cardiovascular nursing, management, and business, and in 2018 gained endorsement as a nurse practitioner.
